Zusammenfassung

Wurzelkanalaufbereitung mit nur einem einzigen rotierenden Instrument: Das verspricht eine erhebliche Vereinfachung, Zeitersparnis und Kostensenkung – fast zu schön, um wahr zu sein! Das neue Konzept und die entsprechenden Instrumente sind jedoch keineswegs aus dem Nichts aufgetaucht, sondern stellen die Fortentwicklung bewährter Techniken dar. Viele bereits bekannte Empfehlungen behalten ihre Gültigkeit und helfen, auch mit den neuen Systemen erfolgreich zu arbeiten. Das Konzept der Aufbereitung von Wurzelkanälen mit einem einzigen rotierenden Instrument und alternierender Rotation wird vor dem Hintergrund des bisherigen Wissensstands dargestellt. Zu den Bausteinen des Erfolgs zählen die Überprüfung, Erweiterung und ggf. Erschließung eines Gleitpfads, die Aufbereitung mit koronaler Erweiterung („Crown-down“-Technik), ausgiebiges Spülen des Wurzelkanals und regelmäßiges Rekapitulieren während der Aufbereitung.

Aus diesem Grunde trägt die erste Ausgabe in 2024 erstmalig den neuen Titel.
