Zusammenfassung

Die anatomische Lage des Pankreas und die technische Herausforderung einer Pankreasresektionmachen eine strenge Indikationsstellung dieser Operation erforderlich. Sie sollte aus denselben Gründen nach Möglichkeit in Zentren für Pankreaschirurgie durchgeführt werden,da mit zunehmender Zahl an durchgeführten Pankreasresektionen eine signifikante Reduzierung der perioperativen Mortalität erreicht werden kann. Diese liegt in solchen Zentren heute bei unter 5 %.
