Though all the pediatric neurosurgical centers of the world share the main goal of taking care of children with neurosurgical diseases, their history, their activity, and their accomplishments may vary significantly. Indeed, very few medical specialties as pediatric neurosurgery are so deeply marked by the characteristics of their cultural, social, and economical environment. However, in spite of these deep differences, every single pediatric neurosurgeon feels to belong to the same fraternity aimed at offering the best care for the pediatric population. Indeed, he/she cannot avoid to be proud of the progresses, possibly done in the pediatric neurosurgical field in every corner of the world or, on the contrary, to be affected by a sense of frustration if some of our colleagues are prevented to offer the best treatment available. …
