A 68-year-old-man developed demodicidosis during treatment with topical steroids [drugs not specified] and pimecrolimus for psoriasis vulgaris. He had a 30-year history of psoriasis vulgaris and his treatment included pimecrolimus [route, dosage, and duration of treatment to reaction onset not stated] and topical steroids. He presented with an exacerbation of disease. There were multiple indurated, disseminated, non-scaling erythematous papules and pustules on his trunk, upper extremities, and face. Histological examination revealed folliculitis and perifolliculitis with demodex mites. He was treated with metronidazole, antiseptic fluids, topical steroids, and permethrin. His lesions completely resolved. …
