A 14-year-old girl presented with numerous blisters and pruritus on her feet of 3 days' duration. Her symptoms had started approximately 6 weeks after the application of juice from Semecarpus anacardium [dosage and duration of treatment not stated], also known as Indian marking nut, for pain associated with a twisted right ankle. After her lesions had developed, merbromin paint had been applied. On physical examination, multiple tense blisters and papulovascular lesions were seen on both feet and her right ankle; oedema was also observed.
