An 11-year-old girl was referred to the outpatient clinic because of recurrent wheezing, mild cough, and dyspnea with exercise. Chest exam revealed diffuse hypoventilation of the right lung. A chest radiograph showed decreased pulmonary vasculature of the right lung with signs of right pulmonary hypoplasia, displacement of the mediastinum to the right, and hyperinflation of the left lung. Echocardiography showed the absence of the right pulmonary artery. Pulmonary venous return was normal. Estimation of systolic pulmonary pressure by tricuspid regurgitation was normal. …
