This issue of the Journal features the 2020 revised edition of the Guidelines to the Practice of Anesthesia1 as developed and updated annually by the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society (CAS) Committee on Standards and approved by the CAS Board of Directors. It represents the 43rd annual revision of the Guidelines since they were first issued in 1977 and the 11th year that they have appeared in the Journal itself. They are intended to provide a broad framework for safe anesthesia practice in Canada, wherever it is delivered. …
