The Fifteenth Annual Meeting of the Dysphagia Research Society was held in beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia, March 8–10th, 2007. Seventy-six posters and 26 oral presentations were given at the meeting, and are published in this issue of Dysphagia. The Dysphagia Research Society’s strength lies in the diversity of researchers and clinicians who consistently contribute to this Society and its annual meeting. The three-day meeting was preceded by a preconference for one day, organized by a committee under Dr. Gregory Postma’s able leadership. The preconference concentrated on the multidisciplinary approach to evaluating dysphagia with live demonstrations and videos of transnasal esophagoscopy (TNE), flexible endoscopy, manometry, and high impedance testing. The different diagnostic tools were shown, evaluated, and explained by experts in the field providing an excellent clinical backdrop to the three-day research meeting. …
