A 5.5-year-old boy presented to our clinic with a history of persistent nephrotic-range proteinuria since he was 1.5 years old without signs of edema. He had been on steroids since then with minimal response. He was started on enalapril at age 2 years, with minimal response. He had received oral cyclophosphamide for 12 weeks and a course of mycophenolate mofetil for 1 year, with no response. He had also undergone a dimercaptosuccinic acid radionuclide scan and a voiding cystourethrogram (VCUG), both of which were normal. …
