Zusammenfassung

Trauer ist eine natürliche Reaktion auf den Verlust einer nahestehenden Person und ihre Intensität lässt in der Regel mit der Zeit nach. Bei ca. 10 % der Hinterbliebenen persistiert die Symptomatik jedoch und eine anhaltende Trauerstörung (ATS) resultiert. Die ATS weist ein eigenes Symptomcluster auf und wird aller Voraussicht nach als eigenständige Diagnose in die 11. Revision der International Statistical Classification of Diseases and Related Health Problems (ICD-11) aufgenommen. Differenzialdiagnostisch ist sie von anderen psychischen Störungen abgrenzbar. Symptomüberschneidungen finden sich vor allem zur Depression und posttraumatischen Belastungsstörung. Neben den Diagnosekriterien und der Differenzialdiagnostik werden im vorliegenden Artikel Prävalenzraten, Komorbiditäten, Risikofaktoren sowie Behandlungsmöglichkeiten der ATS dargestellt.
