Eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic allergic condition of complex pathophysiology of increasing prevalence in recent years. EoE is one of the most frequently diagnosed gastrointestinal conditions in the USA, affecting estimated 56.7/100,000 people in the country, with a prevalence as high as 114.6/100,000 among men aged 35–39 years [
