Male breast cancer (MBC) is rare, and its management has historically been extrapolated from trials that enroll only women. Two landmark trials on the management of sentinel lymph node-positive breast cancer have resulted in the de-escalation of axillary operations, decreasing rates of axillary lymph node dissection (ALND) for both male and female patients.
