Technology is advancing at a significant rate, and the field of surgery is no exception. Advanced technology in the operating room poses challenges to training residents/fellows, since these techniques are new for attendings.
1 The motto of “See one. Do one. Teach one.” is no longer a safe and feasible training paradigm.
