In a single-centre retrospective cohort observational study conducted in Japan, 163 patients were recruited from 1 January 2012 to 30 July 2016 in the piperacillin/tazobactam group and 103 patients from 1 January 2009 to 30 July 2016 in the cefepime group. In the study, two patients [ages and sexes not stated] were described, who developed acute kidney injury (AKI) during treatment with piperacillin/tazobactam (1 patient) and cefepime (1 patient). …
