In a study of 715 patients, who developed perioperative hypersensitivity in Belgium (referred between 1 January 2001 and 31 May 2018), two patients [ages and sexes not stated] were described of whom, one patient received chlorhexidine and developed perioperative hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine and another patient, who was anaesthetised with fentanyl, developed perioperative hypersensitivity to fentanyl. The patient, who developed hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine was inadvertently re-exposed to chlorhexidine. The patient, who developed fentanyl associated hypersensitivity showed positive skin test for fentanyl [routes, dosages, time to reaction onsets and outcomes not stated; not all indications stated]. …
