Genetic testing technology and the associated clinical data are expanding exponentially. Only a concerted collaboration between caregivers and genetic specialists (genetic counselors and physicians) can ensure patients benefit as needed. The same collaboration can ensure safe integration of these major advances into everyday medical practice.
