To the Editor: Pulse oximetry is used in the neonatal intensive care units (NICU) for cardiorespiratory monitoring [
1]. Pulse oximeters display a wave tracing called as photoplethysmograph (PPG) along with digital display of peripheral oxygen saturation (SpO
