A 12-year-old girl, who had received etidronic acid [dosage and route not stated] since the age of 2.5 years for idiopathic arterial calcification of infancy (IACI), presented for examination of abnormal teeth. Examination showed enamel hypoplasia of her permanent teeth; the family reported there had been no hypoplasia of the deciduous teeth. The age at which she began taking etidronic acid matched the pattern of the hypoplasia and she was diagnosed with bisphosphonate-related enamel hypoplasia [patient outcome not stated]. …
