Pulmonalvenenisolation mittels Radiofrequenzablation

Zusammenfassung

Die Katheterablation von Herzrhythmusstörungen hat sich für die meisten tachykarden Arrhythmieformen als primäre Behandlungsform etabliert. Hierbei ist die interventionelle Behandlung eines symptomatischen Vorhofflimmerns der medikamentösen Therapie überlegen, sodass die Durchführung einer Katheterablation zunehmend zum klinischen Alltag vieler Kliniken gehört. Die elektrische Isolation der Pulmonalvenen (PVI) stellt den Eckpfeiler der interventionellen Therapie sowohl von paroxysmalem als auch von persistierendem Vorhofflimmern dar. Dieser Artikel beschreibt die Durchführung einer Pulmonalvenenisolation mittels Radiofrequenzablation in Punkt-für-Punkt-Technik und soll eine praktische Anleitung für die Arbeit im Herzkatheterlabor sein. Diese Arbeit setzt eine Reihe von Artikeln fort, die für eine Weiterbildung im Bereich der speziellen Rhythmologie erstellt worden sind.
