Die Highlights vom Kongress des American College of Cardiology 2024

Im April diskutierten die Herz-Kreislauf-Spezialisten aus der ganzen Welt auf dem  Kongress des American College of Cardiology (ACC) u.a. neue Therapieansätze bei akutem Myokardinfarkt, koronarer Herzerkrankung, kardiogenem Schock oder Aortenklappenstenose. Zusammenfassung

Verhaltenstherapie strebt mittels operationalisierter Ziele und eines breites Verfahrensarsenals die systematische Besserung von Patientenproblemen an. Ihre historische Entwicklung, anhaltende Weiterentwicklung und Zukunftsperspektiven als Heilbehandlung und Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe auf der Basis der modernen Psychologie werden dargestellt. Verhaltenstherapie ist die mit Abstand am besten empirisch validierte psychotherapeutische Grundorientierung. Wesentliche Beiträge zu ihrer guten Wirksamkeit, hohen Dauerhaftigkeit der Therapieerfolge und guten Übertragbarkeit der Forschungsergebnisse auf die Routinepraxis leisten ihr umfangreiches Wissen zu Ätiologie, Diagnostik und Therapieprinzipien sowie das störungsspezifische Vorgehen auf der Basis eines umfassenden ätiologischen Grundmodells. Zum Abschluss des Kapitels wird ein allgemeines Sequenzmodell der Ansatzpunkte zur Behandlung psychischer Störungen dargestellt, bevor Kritik und potenzielle Fehlentwicklungen diskutiert werden.

Im Deutschen werden für das englische »exposure« sowohl der Begriff der Konfrontation als auch der der Exposition gebraucht. Im vorliegenden Lehrbuch wird der Konfrontationsbegriff vorgezogen, da er die für die entsprechende Therapie wichtige aktive Beteiligung des Patienten und die Ausrichtung auf Bewältigung besser beschreibt als der möglicherweise eine eher passive »Aussetzung« nahelegende Begriff der Exposition.
