3. Konfokale Laserscanmikroskopie

Zusammenfassung

Mittels konfokaler Laserscanmikroskopie (KLSM) ist die In-vivo-Diagnostik neoplastischer und entzündlicher Hautveränderungen auf zellulärer Ebene möglich. In der täglichen Praxis findet die KLSM insbesondere Anwendung in der Frühdiagnostik maligner Melanome und nichtmelanozytärer Tumoren, welche durch die klinische Untersuchung und Dermatoskopie nicht immer sicher zu differenzieren sind. In diesem Zusammenhang wird durch die zusätzliche Untersuchung mit KLSM die diagnostische Spezifität erhöht und die Anzahl unnötiger Biopsien vermindert. Daneben bietet die KLSM auch vielfältige andere Anwendungsmöglichkeiten in der Diagnostik und zum therapeutischen Monitoring in der praktischen Dermatologie sowie der dermatologischen Forschung.
