A neurofibroma is a benign nerve sheath tumor that can occur as part of the manifestations of neurofibromatosis type-1 (NF1), or rarely, it can present as a solitary retroperitoneal tumor [

We report a case of solitary neurofibroma in the pelvic retroperitoneal space in a female without any stigmata of NF1, which was excised laparoscopically, resulting in resolution of her lower limb pain. In this case, we were surprised when the histology revealed a neurofibroma, as this finding is extremely rare in a solitary retroperitoneal location [
