Abstract
Meckel’s diverticulum is the most frequent gastrointestinal congenital malformation (2%), being its origin in the persistence of the omphalomesenteric duct. Most of cases are asymptomatic, but symptomatic cases may present with symptoms of bleeding or inflammation. Herniation through any hernial orifice, Littre’s hernia, is unusual. We present the clinical case of an 87-year-old lady with a femoral Littre hernia that required diverticulectomy and hernioplasty.
