Zusammenfassung

Verletzungsursache und -mechanismus

Akute Verletzungen des Kapsel-Band-Apparats des Ellenbogengelenks resultieren nahezu ausschließlich aus Luxations- oder Subluxationstraumen. Die Kenntnis der Verletzungsmechanismen und gelenkstabilisierenden Strukturen ist entscheidende Voraussetzung für das Verständnis des Verletzungsausmaßes einer stattgehabten Ellenbogenluxation.

Diagnostik und Therapie

Zur differenzierten Behandlung eines potenziell instabilen Ellenbogengelenks infolge akuter Kapsel-Band-Verletzungen sind eine genaue klinische Untersuchung und eine subtile Bewertung der bildgebenden Diagnostik (Röntgen und Magnetresonanztomographie) notwendig. Konservative und operative Therapiemaßnahmen werden hinsichtlich Indikation und Ergebnis vorgestellt und diskutiert.
