Zusammenfassung

Zahnfrakturen und Zahndislokationen sind sehr häufig auftretende Traumata mit einer Prävalenz weltweit von 25–30 % für jedes Alter. Allein in Deutschland erleiden knapp 38 % aller Jugendlichen ein dentales Trauma. Nach der WHO werden die dentalen Traumata in die beiden Übergruppen Zahnfrakturen und Dislokationsverletzungen eingeteilt. Eine sofortige adäquate Diagnostik und Versorgung des Traumas sollte erfolgen, um schwerwiegendere Verletzungen auszuschließen und ggf. Zähne erhalten zu können. Der vorliegende Artikel beschäftigt sich mit der Darstellung der jeweiligen Traumatypen, der Diagnostik und deren individueller Therapieoptionen auf Basis der S2k-Leitlinie der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Zahn-, Mund- und Kieferheilkunde (DGZMK).

In einer aktuellen Veröffentlichung im Fachjournal Nature Cell Biology berichten Forschende durch welchen Vorgang diese Organisatoren im Gewebe entstehen und wie sie dann die Bildung von Zähnen orchestrieren.

Aus diesem Grunde trägt die erste Ausgabe in 2024 erstmalig den neuen Titel.
