Wars, like other disasters, have a serious impact on the life of all diseased people by destroying infrastructure and interfering with possibilities to gain access to life-saving therapies. Patients are at high risk whether they stay in the affected areas or are displaced elsewhere, which carries the risk of lack of appropriate care, thus resulting in increased morbidity and mortality.
