A 72-year-old man received 200 ml of air during a procedure of endovascular stenting of the superior mesenteric artery. A massive arterial air embolus (AAE) and a hydroaeric level were seen in the lumen of the superior mesenteric artery, the hepatic artery, and in the abdominal aorta on the computed tomography (Fig. 1). Within a few minutes, he developed hemodynamic shock. The patient fully recovered after one session of hyperbaric oxygen therapy.
