A 16-d-old vaginally born term male neonate presented with refusal to feed for 12 d and fever with lethargy for 2 d. The birth weight was 2.5 kg with antenatal risk factor of leaking per vaginum for a week. The immediate postnatal period was uneventful. The baby was lethargic, tachypneic and dyspneic on admission. He required invasive ventilation for worsening respiratory distress and was managed with unit’s protocols as per clinical condition and arterial blood gases reports. The baby did not have any air-leak syndrome initially and echocardiography was normal. …
