A 53-year-old man developed syncopal episode, retro-orbital pain and unilateral blurred vision during treatment with mitomycin [dosage not stated] for bladder neoplasm. He had a bladder tumour and had undergone a transurethral resection of the tumour. He subsequently started receiving treatment with intravesicular mitomycin. During the third administration of mitomycin, he developed unilateral blurred vision, retro-orbital pain and a syncopal episode without total loss of consciousness. He had no bladder perforation. His symptoms regressed within 30 minutes and he was discharged in a few hours. …
