In an earlier contribution, the authors reported about the outstanding neurosurgical activities and publications of the Swiss surgeon and Nobel Prize laureate, Emil Theodor Kocher (1841–1917), with special emphasis on his perceptions in the fields of epilepsy and tumour surgery [
