12. Relevanz der Telemedizin

Zusammenfassung

Telemedizinische Anwendungen finden immer Anwendung in verschiedenen medizinischen Bereichen. Telemedizin ermöglicht dabei medizinische Kompetenz hinweg über räumliche Distanzen. In der Schlaganfallversorgung haben sich telemedizinische Vernetzungen zwischen Krankenhäusern mit spezialisierter Stroke Unit und Krankenhäusern ohne diese Einreichung bereits etabliert. Die telemedizinische Vernetzung zwischen dem prähospitalen Rettungsdienst und der Klinik sowie die telemedizinische Unterstützung durch einen sog. Telenotarzt haben in Forschung und Praxis positive Effekte zeigen können. Die Verbesserung des Informationstransfer und die Verkürzung der door-to-needle time beim akuten Schlaganfall sind dabei als wichtigste Beispiele zu nennen.
