We thank Agrawal et al. [
1] for their interest in our recent retrospective study investigating postoperative complications after selective dorsal rhizotomy (SDR) [

Diagnostic performance of body mass index to identify excess body fat in children with cerebral palsy is limited [
3]. Various medical federations report different methods and cutoff values. However, we have used the established LMS method, which is recommended by the WHO and CDC [
2].
2.
Cutoff values of thrombocytes and hemoglobin were determined using a receiver operating characteristic curve, which was mentioned in the section material and methods [
7]. We do agree with the authors that the results regarding thrombocytopenia as a risk factor for SSI have to be interpreted with caution due to the low number of events. We discussed the limitation of our findings by the low number of events preventing a multivariate analysis.
