Abstract
Intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct has been identified as a distinct tumor, with various presentations. One of the rarest presentation is ascites. Even though there have been several reports biliary ruptures either spontaneously or increasing of intraluminal pressure from obstructing cholelithiasis, biliary ruptures from intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct causing ascites has not been reported. We, herein, present the first case of this rare phenomenon of the rare presentation of intraductal papillary neoplasm of the bile duct.
