Zusammenfassung

Tierexeperimentelle Studien zeigen eine neuroprotektive und antiödematöse Wirkung der Hypothermie. Eine Übertragung in die klinische Praxis ist aber nicht ohne weiteres möglich. Dieser Artikel beleuchtet die gegenwärtigen Einsatzbereiche der therapeutischen Hypothermie.
