Zusammenfassung

Das komplexe regionale Schmerzsyndrom (CRPS) ist eine äußerst schmerzhafte und teilweise invalidisierende Erkrankung. Es tritt häufig nach Traumen, aber auch spontan auf. Die Entwicklung eines CRPS bei Nervenwurzelkompression bzw. nach Wirbelsäulenoperation wurde bereits mehrfach beschrieben, jedoch ist die Inzidenz unbekannt. Die vorliegende Übersichtsarbeit setzt sich mit den bisherigen Erkenntnissen über das Auftreten des CRPS im Zusammenhang mit Wirbelsäulenoperationen und Wurzelkompressionen auseinander und diskutiert mögliche therapeutische sowie prognostische Implikationen.
