Tissue expansion can be used for a variety of reconstructive problems including the management of giant congenital nevi and the reconstruction of extensive burn scars. This procedure allows use of sensate tissue of similar color, texture, and thickness for resurfacing of the affected areas [

7]. Despite a rigorous methodology with precise preexpansion calculations, the predicted surface area gain after completion of tissue expansion often falls short of the clinical requirements. Cutaneous overexpansion can be achieved to reach the desired dimensions usually by overinflation of the implant even well beyond the vendor’s stated maximum volume [
