We read with interest the study of Huh et al. regarding the relationship between the presence of lymphovascular or perineural invasion and likelihood of detecting lymph node metastases in patients with T1 and T2 colorectal cancer.
1 The authors reported that lymphovascular or perineural invasion was an independent predictor of lymph node metastasis, which, in turn, was the only significant independent predictor for both overall and disease-free survival in their patient cohort. …
