Zusammenfassung

Tissue engineering von Knorpelzellen soll Konstrukte für Knorpelersatzgewebe liefern, die traumatisch oder degenerativ veränderten Knorpel in seiner ursprünglichen Funktion wiederherstellen. Das Prinzip der In-vitro-Herstellung beinhaltet die Gewinnung chondrogener Zellen, die Besiedelung von dreidimensionalen Matrizes und die Ausdifferenzierung im Bioreaktor bis zur Implantation in vivo. In der folgenden Übersicht werden die Entwicklungen und der aktuelle Wissensstand auf dem Gebiet des tissue engineering von Knorpelzellen sowie ein Ausblick auf die klinische Anwendung dargestellt.
