A study of patients diagnosed with preretinal membrane of the macular with macular oedema identified a patient [age and sex not stated] who developed mild cataract after receiving triamcinolone. The patient received an intravitreal injection with 0.1mL of a triamcinolone 40 mg/mL suspension. The needle was vertically inserted 3.5−4mm away from the sclerocorneal junction over the temple. The patient subsequently developed a case of mild cataract [time to reaction onset and outcome not stated]. …
