Zusammenfassung

Die Entwicklungen im Bereich der Antidiabetika führen dazu, dass nicht medikamentöse Therapien bei Typ-2-Diabetes in den Hintergrund treten. Da die Ursache der Erkrankung vor allem der ungesunde Lebensstil in unserer Gesellschaft ist, müssen Lebensstiländerungen aber in jeder Krankheitsphase therapeutisch berücksichtigt werden. Es gibt viele Studien, die das therapeutische Potenzial entsprechender Maßnahmen erkennen lassen und die im Folgenden mit aktuellen Aspekten zusammengefasst werden.
