Patienten mit Typ-2-Diabetes haben ein hohes Risiko für die Entwicklung kardiovaskulärer Erkrankungen wie Myokardinfarkt, Schlaganfall oder Herzinsuffizienz. Verschiedene kardiovaskuläre Endpunktstudien mit neuen, blutzuckersenkenden Substanzen wie SGLT2-Inhibitoren und GLP-1-Rezeptoragonisten haben in den letzten Jahren eine signifikante Reduktion von kardiovaskulärem Tod, Infarkt und Schlaganfall sowie weiterer kardiovaskulärer Endpunkte wie Herzinsuffizienzhospitalisierung bei Patienten mit Diabetes gezeigt. …
