Urethral diverticulum (UD) in women is not a rare entity, the prevalence being 1 to 6% [1], but it is not frequently encountered in clinical practice owing to nonspecific presentation and lack of clinical suspicion. A stone may be found within UD in 4 to 10% of cases. Urinary stasis along with salt deposition and epithelial lining desquamation is implicated as a causal factor for calculus formation within the diverticulum [2]. The presence of a stone in UD does not significantly alter the management, urethral diverticulectomy with stone retrieval being the definitive treatment. Here, we present a case of female urethral diverticulum with a giant calculus (Figs. 1, 2, and 3).
