Zusammenfassung

Die Katheterablation von Vorhofflimmern (VHF) repräsentiert das effektivste Verfahren zur erfolgreichen Rhythmuskontrolle und wird für therapierefraktäres paroxysmales VHF in den Leitlinien empfohlen. Die FIRE AND ICE-Studie konnte die Gleichwertigkeit des Kryoballons zur Radiofrequenz-Ablation für paroxysmales VHF nachweisen.
