Breast reduction surgery or reduction mammaplasty has become one of the most common surgeries performed by plastic surgeons in North America [
1]. Outcomes are well received by both patients and physicians. The length of stay has significantly changed to the extent that the number of these procedures being performed as an outpatient procedure in the USA has increased dramatically over the past two decades [

4]. The overall cost savings are approximately 18% less than that of inpatients or $873 per patient, and complication rates have been comparatively favorable [
