Zusammenfassung

Die Lungenarterienembolie ist eine der häufigsten Differenzialdiagnosen bei Dyspnoe in der täglichen medizinischen Versorgung. Da die Prävalenz jedoch gering, das Spektrum der Symptome breit, die spezifischen Tests aufwändig sowie teuer und die Konsequenzen potenziell schwerwiegend sind, ist die essenzielle Grundlage der rationellen Diagnostik und Therapie eine besonders aufmerksame Anamnese und Untersuchung des Patienten.
