Patients with solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas (SPTP) usually have favorable prognosis, even those with metastatic disease. However, in case of postoperative recurrence, such patients may face difficult treatment decisions and have poor survival. Detection of early recurrence and metastasis is the main focus during follow-up. However, follow-up regimens after tumor resection are generally the same, with no consensus regarding the frequency of follow-up or imaging examination. No classification system can be used to stratify patients with SPTP by risk for follow-up. …
