The incidence of synchronous colorectal cancer (SCRC) in patients with gastric cancer (GC) is relatively high.
1,2 The usefulness of total colonoscopy (TCS) screening for CRC has been reported in preoperative patients with GC;
3,4 however, the long-term outcome of patients with SCRC remains unclear. Furthermore, the safety, efficacy, and cost-effectiveness of TCS have not been sufficiently examined and are not widely available.
