This issue’s Ba’alat is dedicated to hair analysis. The history of hair analysis is longer than one might think – dating back to 1857 when Casper reported the first case of poison being detected in human hair. Today, hair analysis is widely accepted as a method of assessing exposure to various substances and elements and for identifying individuals by DNA analysis. The articles we review in this section reflect a wide range of research fields, including toxicology, genetics and historical science, that could not survive in our time without hair analysis.…Kintz P.
