2. Bereiche der Entwicklung – die Facetten des Kindes

Zusammenfassung

Motorik, Wahrnehmung, Sprache, Intelligenz und sozioemotionale Verhaltensweisen – in allen diesen Entwicklungsbereichen zeigen sich die individuellen Facetten eines Kindes. Dabei stehen die einzelnen Bereiche in einer dauernden Wechselwirkung zueinander, denn Kinder entwickeln sich ganzheitlich. Im Mittelpunkt dieses Kapitels stehen – neben der detaillierten Beschreibung dieser Entwicklungsbereiche und deren Systematisierung – die grundlegenden Aspekte der Entwicklung sowie die Mechanismen des Wachstums, des Schlafverhaltens und der Hirnentwicklung. Außerdem werden die wichtigsten Entwicklungstheorien erklärt, Geschlechtsunterschiede in den Entwicklungsdomänen dargestellt sowie die kritischen und sensiblen Phasen der Entwicklung beschrieben. Die folgenden Kapitel (Kap. 3, 4, 5 und 6) widmen sich der detaillierten Entwicklungsbeschreibung in ausgewählten Altersabschnitten.
