Zusammenfassung

Dank enormer Fortschritte in der Kardiochirurgie erreichen heute die meisten Patienten mit angeborenen Herzfehlern das Erwachsenenalter. Junge Frauen wollen und können dann schwanger werden. Jedoch kann das Risiko für kardiovaskuläre Komplikationen während der Schwangerschaft, der Geburt und postpartal erheblich erhöht sein. Die rasch wachsende Zahl von Risikoschwangerschaften bei Frauen mit reparierten angeborenen Herzfehlern ist daher eine große Herausforderung für alle Beteiligten. Im folgenden Artikel werden die wichtigsten Schritte einer individualisierten Risikobeurteilung und Beratung sowie die grundlegenden Voraussetzungen für eine optimale interdisziplinäre Betreuung aufgezeigt.
